The Shift

UAE e-invoicing is transforming how business transacts.

01

Structured Digital Invoices

Documents give way to standardised, machine-readable invoice data — built for seamless, automatic processing.

02

Connected Business Systems

Invoicing, ERP and accounting stop working in isolation and start operating as one continuous digital ecosystem.

03

Frequently Asked

Common questions about UAE e-invoicing.

UAE e-invoicing — sometimes written e-invoicing or einvoicing — is a government-mandated system requiring businesses to issue, transmit and report invoices in a structured digital format rather than as PDFs or paper documents, giving tax authorities real-time visibility into transactions.

Phase 01 takes effect on 30 October 2026 for businesses with revenue above AED 50 million. Businesses below that threshold currently have until 31 March 2027 to comply, based on the published ASP deadlines.

Most UAE-registered businesses issuing invoices for taxable supplies will eventually fall under the e-invoicing mandate, with larger businesses — above AED 50 million in revenue — required to comply first under Phase 01.

An ASP, or Accredited Service Provider, is a certified technology provider responsible for securely transmitting structured e-invoices between businesses and the relevant authority under the UAE's five-corner e-invoicing model.

Equinox International supports UAE businesses preparing for e-invoicing (einvoicing) through ERP and accounting system integration, business process assessment, system integration, and ongoing technology support ahead of the Phase 01 deadline.
